Delivery Labels

Brandengine gives you the ability to generate and attach customised Delivery Labels to your outgoing PO emails – or just download them as a PDF for alternate distribution & printing.

By default any generated label will also be saved into the Documents folder for the associated Project.

Need more than one delivery label variation per PO? – no problems, generate labels with different addresses and attach to the PO email (or download) as needed.

Here’s how…

“From” Address Setting

Firstly you’re going to want to set your “from” address that will appear on the bottom of the labels next to your logo (ie – the same logo used on your quotes) – This is a company wide setting.

From the Main Menu, go to Company-wide Settings > Entity Types > Purchase Orders

Then Edit Purchase Orders – delivery from address

You will get a pop-up with some basic word processor functions and a field to enter your company address, phone etc…

NB – No need to add your logo – this is done automatically

Creating Delivery Labels

Now you’re set to generate delivery labels from within any Purchase Order screen in BE.

Navigate to, and enter, your PO.
(MainMenu > Purchase Orders) and click on the ID # (1st column)

On the right of screen, scroll down the Actions tab until you locate the Generate delivery labels button

Clicking this button will open the Delivery labels pop up for you to enter in required info.

Your logo and “from” address are automatically inserted into the footer of the label and can not be edited here.

To edit the Heading, Body or Reference, click on the corresponding section in the main window and enter your required text.

On the right of the main window you will see some extra functionality:

View
Use these radio buttons to switch between edit and preview mode.

Show
If you want to hide the heading and/or reference fields deselect the associated check boxes

Size
The generated PDF can be set to a specific size as required. Select available sizes from the dropdown

Attach PDF to PO
Selecting this check box will automatically attach the generated label to the outgoing PO email to be sent to your supplier from Brandengine

Download PDF
This will automatically download a copy of the label to your computer

Generate label

On clicking Generate label Brandengine will create the delivery label per your input/instruction and also save a copy of the label in the Documents folder for this Project.

NB – One label is generated in the PDF so that quantity control/layout settings can be used when printing.

Label Variations per PO

Sometimes you may need/want to create multiple labels for the one PO that contain different addresses and/or instructions.

This can be done easily by changing the label details as required and re-generating the label.

If you have selected Attach PDF to PO Brandengine will also attach the variations to the PO email.

The naming of the generated file is “Delivery Label” followed by the Purchase Order Number “PO-####”. If you generate multiple labels for the one PO, there will also be a version suffix – eg (2)
