IMPORTANT things to know!

Every API has its own nuances – and there are a few for the MYOB API that you should be aware of.

Data Speed

The data transfer speed is intermittently slow compared to other similar API’s – Please be patient while it does it’s thing.
(It will still be quicker than manually typing in the information!)

Disconnecting the API

In the event the API link from Brandengine to MYOB needs to be disconnected, please read below.

The Disconnect from MYOB function on the Software Integration page (MainMenu>Company-wideSettings>SoftwareIntegration) will unlink Brandengine from MYOB (and remove the existing MYOB API credentials in BE) – however you will need to revoke the MYOB access token for Brandengine (the reverse) before you can reconnect. This is done in your MYOB Account.

(At the time of writing – this function is not accessible programmatically via the MYOB API)

To do this:

Login to My Account in your MYOB application.

This should take you to myaccount.myob.com – which should look like the below

On the right of screen under Looking for something else? – click on Password and 2FA

Then scroll down to the Integrations block – To the right of the row labelled Third-part Integrations click on the ( > ) arrow

Then Revoke access to Brandengine.
